From  Racquel Bethea
Meet Signe Waldbauer a Veritas study abroad alum! She studied Biology Education at NC A&T SU in Greensboro, NC and decided to study in San Jose from September 2008 to July 2009. She encourages students to “Stay as long as possible! Three months is not enough time.” She said if you need to, “graduate a year later. Living in a new country is the best thing you can do for yourself.”One of the most exciting things Signe did while abroad was she watched the nesting Olive ridley sea turtles come onto the beach in the hundreds. She wants the study abroad students to leave Costa Rica with the travel bug, “I hope it bites all of you and never lets go. Traveling is so important and most of all fun!”

Signe currently lives in Pavas, San Jose. She teaches science, biology and physics. Her students rang from third to eighth graders at a private trilingual – German, English and Spanish- school in Santa Ana.In the picture from L to R : Current Veritas student, Khara Hesse, Alum Signe ZombieToe W and Veritas Journalist Racquel
