Living in a country for a long period of time is a roller coaster. You go from the honeymoon state, to culture shock, to temporary adjustment. When it approaches the time to leave sometimes you are left confused on whether to be excited to be home and see your family or stay and explore more of the country. You have to come to the realization that your journey is going to end, but you will have memories to last a lifetime.
I have learned more about myself in the past 5 weeks than I have in the past 5 years. I have learned that it is ok to do things that scare you and things that you would never imagined you doing. When I go back I am going to bring these experiences and lessons that I have learned and use them in my everyday life. Going back to your homeland should be exciting. Making sure that you stay in contact with the people that you have met during your experience is very important, because only they know how great the experience really was.
